SILVER COMMEMORATIVE PRESENTATION BOWL, HM silver twin scrolled handle circular pedestal bowl engraved S.S.Foyle, 29th June 1915, 27oz, Dublin 1915. The S.S.Foyle was a British cargo steamer of 4147 tons and was built by the Sunderland shipbuilder Joseph L. Thompson & Sons. It was scuttled on the 27th September 1914 300 miles west of Colombo following its capture by the German light cruiser SMS Emden whilst en route from Port Said to Rangoon.
